
Our story
For founders Ron and Claire Glove, Buttercup’s Kitchen has been a life-long hobby that took its next step during the pandemic. With time and energy on their hands, they took to baking beautifully-crafted loaves of sourdough in their home kitchen, perfecting recipes, and trialing what friends and family enjoyed to eat the most.
Now with a full production kitchen, Buttercup’s Kitchen is moving to its next phase and churning out eight delicious flavors of sourdough from classic white to more bold, add-in heavy loaves such as pecan olive. We will regularly be offering our product through porch pickup, local flea markets, and other local businesses.
Our process
We work with some of the highest quality ingredients, because we believe that you can taste that within every bite. We’ve chosen bread flour with higher protein than most other national brands, which produces a stronger rise and beautifully yeasted breads. And we don’t stop at the flour; we chose mouth-watering sharp cheddar for our Cheddar Jalapeño – delectable, creamy walnuts for our Walnut Cranberry – buttery sunflower seeds for our Friendship Multigrain. From there, every loaf is (truly) made by hand with love every step of the way from the proofing, baking, and all the way down to the packaging.
